Yoga Class

  • Yoga Classes begin after Labour Day and continue until the first day of summer.

  • They are held every Friday from 6:30 to 8:00pm

  • It costs just your time and effort and any donation you wish to make toward St. Andrew's Building Fund

  • You don't need to be in good shape — just do what you can, there's something for everyone with no competition or pushing

  • The teacher is Susan Zurawski (below)

Our class is very diversified. Sometimes we have as many as thirty participants and sometimes there are as few as ten. We typically sit in a big circle around the gym. Mats are available but bringing your own sticky mat is best.

Susan has been teaching Yoga for 16 years and practising for 20 years. She was trained in Toronto by Marie Paulyn, who teaches Hatha-Raja Yoga.

Postures are taught in a way that offers options and various levels of challenge to suit everyone's need.

Sometimes she talks about Eastern Yogic philosophy or how to integrate Yoga into our daily lives.

The class has a light-hearted approach with open arms to anyone who would like to give it a try.

The yoga class attracts a lot of University students — participants are usually 60% younger people, 20% a little older and 20% middle-aged (including the teacher).
