Spring is in the air (some days) and it’s a good time for Spring Housecleaning! It’s time to recycle those good, used household items taking up space at home. May is the month St Andrew’s is collecting items to help Metro Non-Profit Housing Association (MNPHA) to assist single adults who have been homeless or at risk of being homeless to create and maintain their homes. This non - governmental charitable organization provides permanent, secure housing and support to low income individuals through six buildings in Metro. You can help by donating used (or new) items for individuals to set up or to sustain housing.
What’s needed are:
- Pots, pans, dinner plates and bowls
- Forks, knives and spoons
- Other kitchen utensils (spatulas, large mixing spoons etc)
- Small kitchen appliances, toasters, irons, microwaves
- Bed linen for small beds, pillow cases, blankets
- Towels and face clothes
- Winter gloves
You can drop off your donations at the church office. They will be picked up and delivered to MNPHA. The Earth will be glad you’re recycling; people at MNPHA will be glad to have the basics for daily living. If you have questions contact Linda ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
