Outreach is central to the life and work of St. Andrew’s. A dedicated and energetic committee supports the congregation in its participation toward action and advocacy. A number of partnerships are fostered within the city, including the Phoenix Youth Centre (for homeless and at-risk youth), Metro Non-Profit Housing, Direction 180 Methadone Clinic, and Brunswick Street Mission. Members of the congregation provide a Sunday afternoon Drop-In service, offering warm drinks and fellowship to those in need. St. Andrew’s hosts a community program which serves a weekly supper to the poor and marginalized. Further initiatives concern social justice, Indigenous rights, refugee support, and environmental stewardship.
