Our faith community has many members from the south end of the city, but also people from throughout metro and environs. Several hundred individuals or families call us their church home, with worship attendance running between 150 and 250 depending on the season. Our building, with its beautiful sanctuary marked by many stain glass windows, was constructed of grey granite and built along modified gothic lines in 1927.
St. Andrew's has a very active congregation that is welcoming to people of all ages, backgrounds, orientations, and traditions. We have strong friendships with other faith communities such as the Halifax Shambhala Centre, and the Native Friendship Centre. We pursue excellence in worship, outreach and service. Currently, many members are engaged in an initiative to learn and grow in spiritual practice.
