Metro Non-Profit Housing Association |
Do you have good,
usable household items you don’t need? One of our
outreach partners, Metro Non-Profit Housing Association,
is in need of basic household supplies for people who have
been homeless and are moving into an apartment. There is
need for: pots and pans, glasses (no mugs or stemware),
towels, pillows, sheets, blankets, sleeping bags, kitchen
items (utensils, pot holders, etc), small kitchen appliances
(toasters, coffee makers, microwaves, etc ). If you have
something to donate, please bring them to the church office
and a volunteer will pick them up. For more info, contact
Ross Langley (ross.langley@dal.ca). |

We Welcome and Nourish Spirituality |
We welcome and
nourish the spirituality of all ages. If you and your children
are here for the first time, welcome! Children are an important
part of our community at St. Andrew’s and there is
always comfortable space to play, read and learn at the
back of the sanctuary – please feel free to make yourself
at home. In addition, the nursery is open all year long,
and can be accessed through the door to the left at the
front of the church, and down the stairs. It’s the
second door on the left. Caroline Tremaine is usually there
to welcome children under3 years of age. The nursery is
not staffed in the summer months. Sunday school is offered
for ages 4-12 from September through early May, and is based
on the rotation model. More information can be found on
our website or by contacting Martha Martin. |

The 2010 Coffee Party |
The 2010 Coffee
Party and Sale will be held on Saturday, November 6, at
10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Please save the date! We are unable
to accept donations until late October, but we encourage
you to take time over the summer to make extra bottles of
jam, jellies and pickles for the Pantry table, start a project
for the Crafts, Knitting and Sewing Table or set aside treasures
for the Silent Auction. Jewelry can be brought to the church
office or given to Jean Cooley any time. |
