International Women's Day Breakfast |
Tuesday, March 9th at 7:30 am in the Fellowship Room. Guest speaker will be Alana Martin, Youth Minister at St. John's United Church, who will speak about her latest South American adventure in Ecuador with Free the Children's Me to We volunteer trips. She will explore issues of poverty, community, culture, and volunteering in a small indigenous community. Women of all ages welcome! A free will donation.

Weekly Bible Study |
Join us for an hour of lively conversation about the bible readings. Wednesday's, 5:30 pm, in the Library at St. Andrew's (Coburg St. door). All welcome.

Chocolate For Lent |
A new study beginning Tuesday, February 23rd for six Tuesdays during Lent. Using themes from the Academy Award nominated movie "Chocolat", we will explore our own spiritual journeys, and the biblical story. Chocolate may even be provided. Contact Martha Martin to register or for more information.

Lenten Quiet Day Retreat |
Friday, March 12th, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm; Looking for a bit of quiet space in your schedule? Join us for a day of prayer, biblical exploration and discussion, spiritual practice, and personal reflection. Contact Martha Martin to register or for more information.

Baby Items |
Until April 17th there will be a basket at the back of the sanctuary where you can place new or gently used baby clothing and personal care items (sleepers, undershirts, receiving blankets, etc). The UCW will give items for newborns to the IWK, where they go to needy mothers and babies as they are discharged. Larger sizes will be given to Brunswick St. Mission.

Private Screening |
On Saturday March 27th, the Brunswick Street Mission is hosting a private screening of the film "The Street: A film with the homeless". The film is being screened in the morning from 10:00 - 12:00 at the Oxford Theatre on the corner of Oxford Street and Quinpool Road. Tickets are $15 and can be ordered through the Brunswick Street Mission (423-4605).

Library Committee |
The Library Committee needs volunteers to staff the church library for about a half hour after the church service. Volunteers are asked to be on duty once every two months to check out and to check in books on loan. Please leave your name at the church office. For more information please contact Truman Layton at 443-9819.

PAR & Skills Survey |
If you are interested in going on our PAR program or would like to increase your monthly givings, please fill out the form located in the narthex and give to Tammy in the church office. Our skills survey is also available in the narthex and can be passed in to the office once completed.

Bigger Than Jesus |
Some of the members of the St. Andrew's study groups will be attending this one man show at the Neptune Studio Theatre on Saturday, April 10th at 4 pm. Afterwards, we will head back to St. Andrew's for discussion and pizza. All are welcome to join us - folks are purchasing their own tickets. If you plan to join us, or are seeing the play at another performance and want to come for the discussion, let Martha know so we'll have enough pizza!

Alzheimer Nova Scotia Walk for Memories |
Please consider participating in the Alzheimer Nova Scotia Walk for Memories on the Halifax Commons on Sunday, May 16th at 1 pm. Show your support for the more than 15,000 Nova Scotians who have this disease and help the Society in its research for a cause, treatments and a cure. Consider forming a four member "A-Team: with fellow parishioners! It's a slow, gentle walk so all levels of physical fitness are encouraged to join.
